Sneaky

Nooo, these aren’t heart-shaped cookies. I’m taking a break from posting hearts, you see. These are puppy cookies. No hearts here. Nope. No sir. None at all. That’s my story, and I’m sticking to it.

They’ve even got the white ’shine’ spot on the eyes in frosting. Wow. How clever is that?
I’d love to eat one but they’re so cute! I’d watch it giving me puppy eyes from my plate and go, “NOooo, I can’t do it!”
Clever use of — dare I say it? — *whispers* heart-shaped cookie cutters.
The shine in the eyes is gorgeous. The epitome of puppy eyes!
i’d defiantly have to eat the eyes on that first, Otherwise the puppy dog eyes would kill me!
Nose looks to be a red-hot candy, eyes some chocolate thing.
Preparer cheated for the photoshoot, by simply resting eyes and nose ontop of the cookie; they’d fall off if you touched it unless they glued them down!
Deformation would be evident in the eyes + nose if they were there during cooking.
They look like M&Ms, and the eyes, at least, appear to be held on with white icing. Can’t tell with the nose, maybe the same, just less so it doesn’t show like it does on the eyes. Definitely a post-baking decoration — no big deal.
Whisker-spots kill me! Love it!
My boyfriend and I made and decorated cookies like these on Valentine’s day last year.
This post brings back fond memories. ^_^
Those are awesome looking cookies. I’m definitely gonna try that!
OMG, we totally made these for my little girl’s childcare provider last week…the kids LOVED them and they were SOOO easy. We just did the “whiskers” with mini choco chips ahead of time, and attached the nose (red m&m) and eyes (brown m&M) with icing afterwards. Everyone loved them and they were so cute!
I just got a miniature puppy so I’m pretty excited as I read your post
