Manic Bunday

Banana Nutella Sandwich, originally uploaded by bentomom.

I’m back from San Francisco — what a lovely trip! I’m completely smitten with the buildings, the sunshine, and the macaron-peddling bakeries on near every corner. Hello, future home of me! (Someday, maybe.)

I spent all morning emailing with a friend about what we ate over the weekend, ingredients listed fancily like they were on a menu. Baguette with roasted beets, watercress, chevre, horseradish sauce. Etc. Does anyone else do that? I love love loe reading food descriptions — I think if I ever had children, instead of making sweet bentos for them like the one pictured above, I would make them spaghetti and slip a fancy-papered, handmade menu into their lunch bag.

Way too cute for me to eat, but maybe the only way to get a picky kid to eat nutritious food? =D

( a picky kid like my hubby, heehee )

When I have kids, this is what their lunches will look like. I love your blog!
