Panda-monium!

New site finally up and working — phew! Thanks for your patience, and let me know if you’re seeing anything wonky!

NOTE: Just realized all comments were on the “must be manually approved” setting — no wonder you guys were so quiet! Fixed now. :)

And, erm, is that whole panda head made from frosting? I’m getting a sugar high just looking at it. C’mere, little panda, and let me do a test. You know, for science. [nibble]

SQUEEEEE!!!!! And the ears look like they were made out of oreo cookie bits. So cute!

  2. Amanda says:

That is absolutely ADORABLE! And since Manda Panda was a nice name… I’m awfully fond of this!!

  3. Wow, those are adorable!!!

  4. Genevieve says:

OMG pink oreos!? (Living in the UK Oreos are a rare find so I am behind in cookie sandwich trends.) And it looks to me like the faces are made with something not terribly unlike ice cream cones, which do come in that shade… Methinks more research is called for!

I love these! I made them a few months ago from a book called “Hello, Cupcake!” The heads are actually mini-cupcakes put on sideways. So cute!

The head is a mini cupcake! c:
Pink oreos? I didn’t know those even existed!

@Cupcakegirl21: I have that book too!
Its so useful and has so many cute designs. The pandas have to be one of my favourites.

  8. Allybally says:

These cupcakes were in the book Hello Cupcake!, and the top was a mini cupcake. I’m sure there’s a couple different ways to do it. :) Their pandas were white and black though…I love the pink thing!!!

  9. Ariel says:

I think the head is made of a mini cupcake ON TOP of the cupcake!! YUM! :)

  10. VelmaDinkley says:

I second Deb’s sentiment. Squee, indeed. One squee, in fact, for each panda.
And maybe a little “d’aww….” as well.

    Panda-NOMium!!

Okay so these cupcakes are in the Hello Cupcake! book. I made the regular black and white ones a few weeks ago. Yes the head is a mini cupcake for the nose on the head, a mini marshmallow is mounted under the icing to give it the 3-D muzzle and so that there isn’t so much frosting. I’m actually kinda wondering what they used for the ears because they no longer manufacture the cereal the book tells you to use.

I think these cupcakes are totally adorable and I love the whole pink thing for the cupcakes and the photos

The heads are actually mini cupcakes. But they look absolutely delicious all the same. *chomps*
