Bento Contest Results!

You may remember a little contest we ran a few weeks back, asking you to propose ideas for Anna the Red to choose for bento themes. Well our favorite food artist has done it again! And instead of just one bento, she decided she liked two of your ideas and made two bentos!

I’d love to announce specific users as “winners” but both these themes had so many people behind them, I figure if you were one of the dozens you will know who you are and can pat yourself on the back for tipping the scales. Anna made one epic bento of the beloved Dr. Seuss book the Lorax and another of Moomins!

Let’s all give Anna a huge hug and thank her for her amazing work! And thanks to all of you who came up with so many fantastic ideas!

Maybe it’s a cultural thing, but I’m not recognising any of these characters!
(I’m Belgian, btw) Sorry :s This is kind of a let-down for me… I tought at least the winner would be a world-wide appealing theme…

i AM totally smitten by the cherry tomato/corn/pea flowers, tough ! :D

  6. Paulina says:

  7. Ali says:

I’m with you aLiTa, not only have I finally gotten so overwhelmed with the repeated references to ‘bento boxes’ that I just have to ask “What the heck IS a bento box?!”
But I am also in the dark about these characters, of course I know Dr Seuss, but not these moomins and loraxes of which you speak.
I feel all alone and left out in the corner of the playground. :O(

  8. Jules says:

    love the moomins!!

    @alita: moomins are swedish btw.

  9. Katty says:

:D EEEE! DR. SUESS!!! I am BEYOND giddy right now ^_^ I cannot, however, for the life of me remember the Moomins ._. But I always loved Lorax when I was younger ^_^ My tastes have grown and matured now, I’m in love with Green Eggs and Ham ^_^
Fantastic work, Anna the Red, you are a great food artist!

  10. Suomineito says:

Jules, actually Moomin is Finnish. The stories were written and set in Finland. You can see the Moomin House in Moomin World in Naantali, Finland. I was unaware that they were popular (or even known) in the states.

    Oh My God!!!!Yay!
I was the first to post Moomins as an idea but I never thought it would get picked!
It was so long ago I totally forgot to check back on the winner, this looks amazing!Thank you Anna!!
